Beautiful dance technique begins at the barre! Classical ballet training is an essential part of every dancer’s journey. Learn proper alignment and terminology as well as challenging barre exercises and center combinations. Improve leaps, turns, flexibility, posture, and strength, while learning muscle control.
Our jazz classes emphasize performance quality and exposure to various styles of jazz dance to make a well rounded dancer. We will focus on leaps, turns, isolations, and more intricate movement, while learning proper technique through upbeat choreography, progressions across the floor, and various stretches/ exercises.
Modern dance techniques incorporate a relationship between breath and movement and dancers will learn to be mindful of this connection, while learning the Bartenieff Fundamentals for correct body movement. Improvisation, floorwork, combinations, and partnering will be explored.
